On Going Try-Outs

In an effort to build a bigger better team, the 02/03 Bulldogs will hold on-going tryouts until we reach roster capacity. We are looking for highly skilled and dedicated young men born in 2002 or 2003 who wish to increase their game awareness, improve their individual skill, improve their speed of play and increase their overall athleticism, while making memories and having fun. Our goal is to be prepared for post-high school play either at the college level or for a men's open team.  Assistance with contacting college coaches, and team attendance at college showcases is all part of what we do. If you're interested in trying out please contact the team manager, Samantha (Sam) at

Team Staff

Head Coach Jason R. Genthe,

Coach Jason probably doesn’t remember life without a soccer ball at his feet. Growing up in East Brunswick Coach Jason participated on both recreational and travel soccer teams for the East Brunswick Soccer Club. He was a member of the East Brunswick HS boy’s soccer team from 1990 – 1992 and the Monroe HS boy’s soccer team in the fall of 1993. Jason earned many divisional, county and area accolades during his high school career. After high school he attended  Westmar College, Le Mars IA, playing left full back for the NAIA soccer program. That year the team advanced to NAIA National Finals. He then transferred to Middlesex Community College (NJCAA), Edison NJ.   While a member of the Colts, Coach Jason earned All-Conference  and All-Region Honors.

Coach Jason’s love of the game would not allow him to hang-up his cleats after college.  Up until sustaining an injury in 2018 Coach Jason could still be found on the pitch every Sunday morning playing in the Garden State Soccer League. Over his expansive career he has played for a number of GSSL men's teams such as the Bulldog SC Over-40, the Bulldogs SC Over-30, South River FC Men’s Open, and Monroe Township Men's Open.  He has also participated in the La Liga New Brunswick as a member of Arsenal,  helping the team advance from division II to division I.  Over the years, Coach Jason has played on numerous indoor soccer teams.

Coach Jason began coaching youth soccer over 10 years ago as a boys recreational coach for Sayreville Soccer Association. Not long after he made the transition to the travel program; starting a U9 team for 2003 boys. Many of the players who began their youth soccer careers under Coach Jason are now being recognized for their outstanding contributions to their high school soccer programs earning local, county and statewide recognition. Coach Jason also has the privilege of watching one of his first recreation and travel players shine on the international scene as a member of the Sugar Boyz Saint Kitts & Nevis National Soccer Program. In addition to his coaching duties Coach Jason served as a club training director for the Sayreville Soccer Association. When not on the pitch training the next generation of soccer players Coach Jason can be found center field as a NJS Referee.

Coach Jason joined the staff of Bulldogs SC in the Fall of 2018 as the head coach for our eldest youth team, the 2002/2003 boys. Having been the recreational coach for many of these boys so many years ago it is only fitting that he will now usher them into their adult soccer careers.

Manager Samantha (Sam) D'Alo,

Sam has been actively involved with programs for children and teens most of her life.  As a young adult she was an assistant acrobatics instructor, spent several summers as a camp counselor, was a troop leader for the Camp Fire Girls of America, and a den leader for the Cub Scouts. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history and education as well as a master’s in special education.  She has over 20 years of experience in the field of education.

She entered the world of youth soccer over 10 years ago as a girls recreational soccer coach for the Sayreville Soccer Association. Shortly thereafter she began assisting with the micros program for children ages 3 through 6 and running the Buddy Ball program for individuals with special needs.  During her tenure with Sayreville Soccer Association she served as director of work-bond, travel director and club secretary. While juggling her various roles at Sayreville, Sam became the team manager for the U11G Jersey Knights SC Knightmares. She remained with the Knightmares until the conclusion of the Spring of 2019 when the girls graduated high school. Thanks in part to Sam’s guidance and assistance through their high school years and through the recruitment process, several of the girls are now playing in college. In addition to her duties with the Knightmares, Sam managed the Jersey Knights SC 05B Excalibur, served as the raffle fundraiser coordinator and the club registrar. She has also coached both a co-ed recreation and travel team for Edison United Soccer Association and served as a team manager for Holmdel NJX-MFA Soccer.

Sam joined our Club in the Fall of 2018 bringing with her a wealth of knowledge on child and adolescent development as well as team administration and management. She is highly dedicated to the boys in her charge and an asset to the Club.
